The Alcatel OT – 222 is a very capable handset for one that falls into the cheap and cheerful bracket, a pebble shaped Flip phone has a decent colour screen, large easy to use blue backlit keypad together with a flashing blue LED on the outside which indicates an incoming or missed call.

Made primarily as a simple to use handset for calling and texting, you still get a calendar, calculator, stopwatch and alarm functions. You can assign shortcuts for all of these too, and because it's a flip phone there is little risk of any damage to the screen or keypad making it ideal for those who might just want a cheap phone for work, for the glove box or for those late nights out.

An added bonus is the inclusion of an FM radio and WAP internet access, but because there are no power hungry features you also get very long battery life making this the perfect phone for those people who just want basic functionality without having to break the bank.
